Size
Teacup Maltese are expected to weigh about 2–4 lb fully grown and stand around 6–8 inches tall — much smaller than a standard 4–7 lb Maltese.
Coat
A long, silky single coat with no undercoat. It sheds minimally but needs regular combing to stay tangle-free.
Grooming
Comb a few times a week, or keep a short puppy trim. Bathe the coat and dry it thoroughly afterwards.
Temperament
Gentle, affectionate and alert. A classic lap companion that likes to stay close to its people.
Exercise
Indoor play plus one or two short walks a day is enough to keep a Maltese happy and trim.
Lifespan
Maltese are long-lived — with routine vet care they often reach 12–16 years.
